Moneta Markets is a regulated broker that offers margin-based trading in forex, shares, commodities, and indices. The broker offers its clients access to over 250 financial instruments on various platforms such as web trader, iOS, and android. In this review, I discuss different aspects of this broker in detail.

Moneta Markets, a brand of Vantage Group Limited, was founded by VantageFX CEO David Billy. The Vantage Group is an Australia-based fintech that established Moneta Markets as a retail forex brand in 2019. The factor may offer traders some satisfaction as a big group is behind the foundation of Moneta Markets. Moneta Markets records 1.5 million new trades per month with over ten years in the industry, over 70,000 client accounts, and more than 100 billion dollars traded in volume every month.[1]

Is Moneta Markets Safe?

Moneta Markets is authorized and regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) under Section 4 of the Financial Dealers Licensing Act. The broker is also registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) and Securities Investment Business Law (SIBL) # 1383491 with Artemis House, 67 Fort St, PO Box 2775, Grand Cayman KY1-1111. The broker has its headquarters situated in the Cayman Islands. Moneta Markets keeps funds with a custodian bank; AA rated Australian bank (one of the four largest in Australia and top 20 globally).[2]

In addition, clients’ funds are kept in segregation that consequently gives traders a sense of security. Moneta Markets offers over 100 tradable assets for margin-based trading. There are 45 currency pairs, 16 commodities with four precious metals included, 17 indices, and 53 Share CFDs. The broker offers these financial assets at competitive spreads and commissions.  

Moneta Markets also offers a copy-trading service called Duplitrade, which requires a minimum investment of $2,000.

The broker offers cost-effective trading solutions to all types of traders.  Like most brokers, Moneta Markets makes money through spreads as well as commissions and swaps on various asset classes. The company offers three main account types namely STP, ECN, and Prime.

Moneta Markets offers one of the most competitive fees on its ECN account type, with spreads starting from 0.0 pips along with a $3 commission. The spreads are higher in other account types. However, no commission applies.

Moneta Markets offers over 80 instruments plus drawing tools and over 100 financial markets through its web-based platform to make trading easier for novice clients. The broker provides both online and desktop trading platforms; the user interface is super easy to navigate and attractive, which new traders will find appealing. Traders have access to various tools, including the latest news on various financial markets and accurate price feed.

Moneta Markets allows trading with industry-leading MT4 and MT5 platforms on windows, mac, iOS, and Android devices. A charting package for manual trading with nine timeframes makes trading easier for beginners. The broker offers copy trading, known as Duplitrade, to diversify the trading portfolio. The Duplitrade copying service is beneficial for traders who lack trading skills or do not have time to trade themselves. The broker also offers free VPS hosting for clients with a trading account of $500 or more with HokoCloud as its VPS partner.

Moneta Markets offers a small amount of research content on its official website. The broker offers a daily 2-minute financial roundup on its youtube channel with a link provided on its website. The broker also offers the latest news updates, breaking market developments as well as an economic calendar provided by TradingView. A client sentiment indicator is also available, which could be a vital tool if the clientele of Moneta Markets broker grows.

Moneta Markets offers educational content through its Market Master course with basic forex concepts taught in a free preview of 2 minutes of average duration. For clients, who fund their trading accounts with at least $500, a full Market Masters course is available with more than 100 advanced trading tutorials which are pretty helpful for new traders who know little or nothing about advanced trading strategies. It must be noted that most of these contents are mainly for beginners, and not expert traders.

Moneta Markets has multiple mobile trading platforms for iOS and Android devices. The mobile platforms include an in-house developed AppTrader app as well as the MT4 and MT5 platforms. The mobile apps also feature risk management tools (for placing stop loss or take profit orders).

The mobile apps allow trading of all financial assets along with push notifications so traders could not miss any live actions. The apps also offer live charts with nine different timeframes and three chart types. The execution of trades can be made with a single click that is very useful for on-the-go traders. Information such as leverage, spread, volume, margin, lot size, and equity is available in mobile apps offered by Moneta Markets.

Moneta Market is an ideal broker for novice traders. The broker has a backing of a big FCA-regulated group VantageFX.
